She approached me to create a set of portraits for her upcoming album releases and tour promotion, with an aim to make bold images that would convey her unique artistic energy while feeling authentic and imaginative. Here’s how we did it!
We worked together in a local photography studio in Frome, drawing inspiration from both Laura’s references and my own creative ideas. In the weeks before the shoot, we explored the moods, textures, and energy she wanted to evoke, so that on the day there was space for play, experimentation, and true expression.
The result is a collection of striking portraits that respect the relationship between player and instrument.
"I was immediately excited by Celie’s work. Her communication was positive and personable, showing real interest in capturing my artistic essence. She encouraged creativity leading up to the shoot, and her warm energy made the whole process enjoyable. The final portraits look incredible and I’d definitely recommend working with Celie."
