Photowalks for creative enthusiasts

Photography is all about connection

Two women are examining plants and flowers in a garden, taking photographs with cameras. They are bent over, focused on the flowers, with one woman wearing a green cap and both carrying bags. There are other people walking in the background on a sunny day.

Connection to yourself, to your environment and to your loved ones.

It’s about recognising and capturing a unique moment so you can treasure it forever.

So many people tell me that they want to have more confidence in doing this, and my Photowalks help with just that.

These events aren’t about making perfect photos or becoming a professional photographer, it’s about having fun and indulging in a passion - old or new.

If you'd like to get more intentional with your phone use, test out your shiny new camera, or make use of the old compact collecting dust on the shelf, these Photowalks are for you!

Hi, I'm Celie - a Photographer who finds great peace in the outdoors.

A woman kneeling on the grass in a backyard, smiling and petting a brindle and white dog. The yard has a wooden fence, plants, and a small greenhouse. Pink and orange flowers are in the foreground and purple flowers hang overhead.

The events go something like this:

  • We’ll all meet at the shared location and get to know each other.

  • I’ll help you get into a relaxed and inspired headspace through a short grounding exercise

  • As we walk, I’ll share what I look out for when taking photos, making examples and talking through my thoughts and technical processes.

  • You’ll have the opportunity to ask me any specific questions as we go

  • Finally we'll stop at the cafe to chat about our newfound perspectives over a cup of tea, and share the images we made (if we'd like to!)

Kind Words From Past Photowalkers

  • “I really enjoyed the morning, even with the weather!

It has encouraged me to get out more with my camera, I had forgotten how much I enjoyed it

Thank you very much for hosting, also the hot chocolate. It was lovely to meet you, can't wait for the next one”

    — FLO

  • “I had a lovely time exploring a park I’d been to many times, but this time viewing it in a different light.

Celie’s photographic insight was thought provoking and gentle.

We were given plenty of time to explore on our own with our cameras and also come together with others to share ideas.

Finishing with hot chocolate and the biscuits was a wonderful surprise! I left feeling very calm.”

    — CAT PIPER

  • “This Photowalk was incredible! Rediscovering my love of photography through simple things like finding colour palettes in the wild and practicing the Art of Noticing is 100% something I’ll be doing more often now.”
