Fairfield Animal Centre - Charity Animal Park in Wiltshire

Storytelling brand photography for local award-winning animal park

Some photography projects are about carefully crafted concepts, yet this one was so much simpler than that, and so fun to collaborate on!

The aim with Fairfield Animal Centre was to create warm, welcoming imagery that genuinely invited people in, whether that was families planning a visit, animal lovers discovering the centre for the first time, or people looking for a relaxed day out in Wiltshire.

As a much-loved animal centre and visitor attraction, Fairfield already had heaps of personality. The challenge was translating that feeling into visual storytelling that felt natural, vibrant and approachable, rather than overly staged, corporate, or cringe.

Throughout the shoot, wefocused on capturing the authentic atmosphere of the centre: moments of lovely connection between visitors and animals, the curiosity and excitement of children exploring, and the calm, friendly environment that makes Fairfield feel so special.

Using my famous documentary-style approach, we created a gallery of authentic, story-led imagery that balanced joyful, playful energy with softer observational moments. Alongside wider environmental shots, we also captured expressive detail imagery and relaxed portraits that help showcase the warmth and character of the space.

For purposeful visitor attractions, charities and community-focused organisations especially, commercial lifestyle photography can play such an important role in helping people emotionally connect with a place before they even arrive.

Sometimes the most effective brand photography simply helps people imagine themselves there. Fairfield Animal Centre made that part very easy thanks to an excellent supporting cast of goats, alpacas, rabbits and extremely photogenic donkeys.
