Not your average corporate imagery

When GoodWork approached me last year to ask if I’d like to make images and videos to promote their valuable, inclusive, and super important work, I jumped at the chance!

A photograph of a young woman wearing a blue shirt, laughing as she looks at someone beyond the camera. She is in a rustic, but modern studio space with a plant on her right.

GoodWork is a non-profit that offers an innovative Early Careers Programme to young people who have the ambition to succeed in a career, but face barriers to work.

Supporting both these talented and driven young people and prospective employers who are prepared to offer a real living wage and on-the-job learning, it’s a real win-win situation.

The project had 2 clear but somewhat challenging aims:

⭐️ To make photos & video clips for web and socials that appeal to both the corporate world and young people from underprivileged backgrounds.

⭐️ Demonstrate what the organization is all about in an authentic, exciting way.

We decided the best way to make this happen was by documenting the first two weeks of the training program, where the interns learned a wide range of skills that would help them in the following 6-month placement in their new role.

I had such a great day with the team in London, documenting the first cohort of interns as they took part in group exercises and worked on individual projects.

I also made individual portraits with everyone so they’d have a professional profile image for LinkedIn and their CV.

Thank you to Sunset Studios for hosting the session in such a brilliant space and to GoodWork and their incredibly smart, passionate, and vibrant interns for inviting me to capture their awesome work.
