“I don’t know how to act in front of the camera!”

Please know that you do not have to go out and buy fancy clothes or practice posing or smiling in the ‘right' way ahead of our shoot.

My style of photography is documentary led which means it’s largely un-posed.

I love to capture your magic as it unfolds within our scenes and offer gentle direction as we go based on your natural movements and authentic way of being.

The beauty of working with me is that there really is no need to ‘act’ in any sense of the word.

Our most significant aim of the session is always to capture you being you. It’s as simple as that.

The reason I now only offer Half & Full Day sessions and such a thorough on-boarding process, is so I can get to know you on a deeper level than ever possible with a 20 minute headshot slot. The Alignment Questionnaire, Vision Board exercise and Planning Call have all been designed to support you to feel confident about opening up to me.

By the time our shoot day rolls around - which is anywhere from 4-12 weeks later - we’re no longer strangers at all.

We have trust. We have compassion. We have respect.

This is what allows you to take off the mask and not feel the need to ‘act’.

I have photographed - quite literally - hundreds of camera-shy people who end up loving the experience of being in front of the camera because they’re so relaxed in my presence! I often get told it’s like going for a walk or having a cuppa with a friend and they forget the camera is even there.

I’ve even had multiple people say “How am I going to do my work or go for a walk without being photographed now?” which I always find so funny and just goes to show how much easier the process is than expected!

To summarise, there really is no need to ‘act’ in any sense of the word.

The aim of the session is always to capture you being you.

It’s as simple as that!

I'm now booking Brand Photography Experiences from April onwards and invite you to book in a Discovery Call if you have any questions about working together!
